Entries are now open for the 2027 Fire Resilience Excellence Awards (FREAs), recognising the people, organisations and innovations driving excellence in fire resilience across the UK.
Established in 2025, the Fire Resilience Excellence Awards (FREAs), sponsored by AXA, are entering their third edition and continue to build momentum within the fire resilience community. The awards were created to shine a light on the exceptional work being carried out to tackle fire risk, improve safety and strengthen resilience – and each year, the calibre and diversity of entries continues to demonstrate the breadth of expertise across the sector.
With 11 categories open for nominations, the 2027 FREAs offer an opportunity to recognise the individuals, teams, organisations, partnerships and innovations making a genuine difference.
Entry is free, with nominations open until 26 January 2027.

The FREAs recognise achievement across a broad spectrum of fire resilience, from outstanding leadership and consultancy to innovative products, effective partnerships and exceptional professional practice.

The awards are open to individuals and organisations across the public, private and third sectors, reflecting the collaborative nature of fire resilience and the many different roles that contribute to keeping people, buildings and communities safer.
The FREAs are about more than celebrating success. They provide an opportunity to showcase the people and projects setting new standards, finding innovative solutions and demonstrating what excellence in fire resilience looks like in practice.

The winners of the 2027 FREAs will be announced at the awards ceremony on 28 April 2027 at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, where the FREAs will once again be co-located with The Safety and Security Series.
